We're all busy and trying to juggle many balls in the air at any one time so I know first hand how overwhelming it can feel when something new gets added to your plate.
But it doesn't have to be!
The next time some unexpected pops comes across your desk, stop and ask yourself:
Is this really urgent?
Though a task may seem like it's a top priority, sometimes someone else's urgency is just that! Their urgency.
So, before tackling a task, take a moment to consider:
Would this task be handled more quickly by someone else?
Does it align with your goals and your objectives?
Considering the urgency and importance of requests for your time is essential before making a commitment to a task.
Knowing what is on your plate and where you can make room for more is a necessary step in prioritizing.
